Slow cooked beef ribs

There’s nothing better than coming home to see (and smell) that supper is ready! Beef ribs in homemade BBQ sauce, slow-cooked on low. Use short ribs or back ribs, cut up for this recipe. Try it with your own BBQ sauce recipe if you prefer!

Cook Time: 8 minutes
Servings: 4


Ingredients
(2 lbs) Beef Back Ribs
(1 cup) water
(1 cup) ketchup
(16 oz) can tomato paste
(3/4 cup) brown sugar
(1/2 cup) vinegar
(2 Tbsp) prepared mustard
(2 cups) dry red wine
(1 Tbsp) salt


Directions

  1. Mix water, ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and salt in slow cooker, stirring to dissolve brown sugar and salt.

  2. If using a rack of back ribs, cut them into individual ribs.

  3. Place ribs in sauce and stir to coat.

  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or until very tender and meat falls off bone.
